Bus wiring systems for complex building management
Mokrý, Lukáš ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The aim of my thesis is to examine current opportunities of bus wiring systems for complex building management, mainly its power and economic evaluation. It can be simply called intelligent electrical installation. I will examine two systems from INELS and ABB company. These systems contain functional components, mainly modules and controllers. By means of other materials, I’ll create a panel. Components will be placed there and electrically connected. After this, systems will be put into operation and programmed by means of their software. The next step is measuring of quatities during the various conditions of systems and consumption, which is one of the main aims of the thesis. Two apparatuses will be used for measuring. This thesis itself will contain theoretical analysis of systems, their description, using the way of operation and main advantages and disadvantages. Single components and complete process of measuring and working in laboratory will be described. An overall evaluation and comparison of the systems from various points of view, including the price, will be put together from results.
Driver design for PROFINET bus coupler
Kroupa, Jiří ; Šubrt, Kamil (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
The essence of this diploma thesis is the design and implementation of driver for Profinet bus coupler from Phoenix Contact, which use computer's network card for communication. The proposal builds on the knowledge gained from available literature and analysis of Profinet protocol.
Netdev Driver for Acceleration COMBO Cards
Tran, Dominik ; Vrána, Roman (referee) ; Kučera, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of the network device driver for the FPGA network COMBO cards, which should enable receiving and sending packets through standard network interface of Linux kernel. CESNET is developing a device called DDoS Protector for protection against an amplification (D)DoS attacks, which uses COMBO cards to achieve high performance. A SZE2 interface is used for high speed transfers of network data between COMBO card and a controlling software application, using technique of bypassing kernel network stack and other methods. DDoS Protector has to support standard network protocols, whose implementation directly on top of the SZE2 is very difficult. Instead, using kernel network stack, which is, by default, bypassed to achieve high performance, is much easier to implement and supports all sorts of protocols. Creation of the network device driver enables us to use kernel network stack and other network applications for COMBO cards. Based on the study of SZE2 interface and driver development, I designed and then successfully implemented network device driver. Driver was tested to ensure standard protocols work. It was also tested from the performance point of view. I have also developed the same type of driver for the newer interface - NDP and an application for an accelerated packet forwarding, both of which are functional and were not part of the thesis specification.
3D controller
Hrubý, Lukáš ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
The following work deals with problems of scanning of device position in space, processing of collected data about its position and sending these data to end device. In scope of this work will be created special controller which will use accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer to scan its actual position in respect to Earth and it will wirelesly send its position to controlled device. Individual components for proposal will be chosen based on previous experience and available documentation.
Low-level communication with an IP telephone exchange
Švehlík, Martin ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with potentiality of low-level communication ways between the Silicon Laboratories Si3220 subscriber line circuit and Marvell PXA270 microprocessor with the Linux operating system installed on it. Following the materials published by the manufacturer, the means of communication between the Si3220 subscriber line circuit and PXA270 microprocessor were examined thoroughly. The dynamically attachable unit for the core of the Linux operating system was created to support read and write operations in the register and RAM address of the Si3220 circuit via the SPI serial interface. For the purpose of verification the test linking between the Si3220 circuit and PXA270 was created and selected registers of the Si3220 circuit were read.
Transparent Encryption Solution for Endpoint Devices
Linux-Based Drivers for Embedded Systems
Kopáček, Jaroslav ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Dobai, Roland (advisor)
Issues of design and writing device drivers is wide-ranging and therefore in this thesis we focus on the design of drivers for devices with field-programmable gate array (FPGA). Compared to the application-specific integrated circuit processors, where functionality is immutable, it is necessary for each new FPGA configuration to write a new driver for the required behavior. This thesis deals with the analysis of requirements and possible solutions of designing and implementation of device drivers for embedded systems based on OS Linux and the possibility of development automation. This thesis includes the design and implementation a driver generator which can generate Linux-based drivers for embedded systems. The driver generator is modular so the final driver can contain only the required functionality and no unnecessary functionality. Designed driver generator has been tested on the task of controlling light-emitting diodes which are used for diagnostics of the embedded system.
T-Mobile MDA II in Linux
Michl, Zbyněk ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
MSc. thesis deals with mobile digital assistant T-Mobile MDA II running Linux operating system. The first part presents device identification and parameters' specification of the MDA II. The second part focuses on selection of GNU distribution with Linux bootloader and Linux kernel support comparison. The subject of the last part is MDA II component code implementation and its merging into Linux kernel.
Writing Device Drivers Under Linux and Windows
Sznapka, Jakub ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and implementation of USB driver and key of HID class for microcontrollers MC9S08JM60. It describes theoretical part necessary for design, as well as implementation with shown lines of code and pictures. Outputs of test programs are also included.
GSM Module for FITkit Platform
Holinka, Milan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
Educational platform FITkit has plenty options of communication. Interfaces, that are not implemented on the main board of the kit, accuring regularly in the form of external modules or controllers realized in FPGA. The aim of this work is to extend the capabilities of FITkit platform about the possibility of using a GSM network via accessory module. Describes the design, composition and activation of this module, creation a library for its handling and demonstration its activities on the sample application. Finished device can transmit and receive SMS messages and connecting voice calls.
